meetup.com fees

Today, meetup.com announced that organisers are responsible for a $19 per month fee to use meetup.com. That's rather incredible. Perhaps it's a late April Fool's joke?

I don't see any breaks for groups that are small (the Sacramento chapter of the VMS group is only three people). I'm going to wait a day and see if more news breaks. If there is no change, you can bet I'll be shutting down the group.

If people are interested (all two of you) I can probably set up a mailing list or something here.
