A-patching we will go

I am running OpenVMS 7.3-2 on two machines here at the moment. One is the crash and burn machine for the Systems Team, and the other is a box that we use to do performance analysis for all the production machines.

I noticed that the first major patch set has been released for 7.3-2: UPDATE-V0100. Having read the release notes, I think it's worth installing immediately on both these machines.

Additionally, my attention was drawn to a DSN article yesterday concerning the MULTINET_SERVER process going into RWAST state after the upgrade to 7.3-2. While I haven't seen this personally, I obtained the unofficial kit from the Call Centre so as to have as much burn-in time as possible before we roll out 7.3-2.

The CFS number for the kit is 104780. HP are telling me this should be an official patch in a few weeks.
