OpenVMS 7.3-2

Finally, a distribution of 7.3-2 arrived yesterday, and I wasted no time installing it on our crash and burn cluster.

The installation went off without a hitch. About half way through, I was rather concerned that Multinet, which we use instead of TCP/IP Services, would need to be reinstalled. The potential problem being that the machine I was installing onto is only accessible via IP, being behind a firewall...

But it booted up and started the IP stack no problems, which saved me walking back and forth with multiple CDs.

Speaking of Multinet, my plan is to upgrade to version 4.4 at the same time we go to OpenVMS 7.3-2, some time late in the second quarter of this year, barring any major problem reports with these versions.
