Demand more from us

One of the emerging themes so far at the conference is that HP is asking their enterprise customers to demand more from them. No problems. The company that I work for has been doing this for quite some time, for reasonable results.

We had experienced some poorly handled outages, and our management demanded that HP get more involved with proactive procedures to reduce the posibility of future occurances.

To their credit, HP assigned a service engineer full time to the account. One of his important functions so far has been to sit in on our weekly technical team meetings so that HP is more aware of what we are planning in the near future. HP can then either suggest better ways to do things, or offer to add value to the process in other ways.

As HP are now making it official that their customers demand more, we will have to think of even more ways they can help us.
